TMS 12.7 removed support for languages that were previously deprecated in TMS 12.6. The deprecated and subsequently removed languages include the following:
Language Code | Culture Code | Language Description |
BOS | bs-Latn | Bosnian (Latin) |
KS | ks | Kashmiri |
ML | ml | Malaysian |
MO | mo | Moldavian |
PAN | pa-Arab | Punjabi (Pakistan) |
SH | sh | Serbo-Croatian |
SR | st-Latn-CS | Serbian (Latin, Serbia & Montenegro (Former)) |
Our analytics show that some of these languages are still in use on earlier, unsupported versions of TMS. If these implementations are upgraded to the latest supported version of TMS 12.7, these languages will no longer work and will result in errors in the application when trying to pre-process files. Customers with implementations that use any of these languages must migrate to modern, supported languages to successfully upgrade to TMS 12.7. To migrate between languages, the following steps are necessary:
- Identify the appropriate supported language to replace the deprecated language.
- Modify the TMS implementation to adjust language pairs, workflows, vendors, project schedules, language groups, cost models, and configurations to use the replacement language.
- Adjust the language in any dependent linguistic assets which include:
- Translation Memories.
- Terminology databases.
- Bilingual file archive used for PerfectMatch.
- Update any existing integrations to use the replacement language.
Customers who need help to make the necessary adjustments can contact their account representative or RWS Support for more information.
