Prevent task upload errors in SDL TMS

Here's some tips to prevent and resolve task upload problems in SDL TMS.

  • The simplest way to handle a failed upload is to handle a failed upload is to try uploading the file again
  • Check the 'Failed and Lengthy imports' in the Task Upload screen, the 'Status' column may contain messages indicating the reason of the failure.
  • Check to make sure the task is owned by you and is in your 'Inbox'
  • Check your bilingual file for any visible error messages or format tag issues - Use QA checks to verify any problems ('Verify' in SDL Trados Studio and 'QA Check' in SDLX)
  • Use validation steps (below) to catch any problems with bilingual files before uploading to SDL TMS.
