WS 11.3.1 | CRQ-7076 | Workflow task stuck in Pending state on segmentation

Description:
The number of situations where tasks remain stuck in a workflow during asynchronous automatic actions such as Segment Asset or Save has been reduced.

The hotfix package also includes a fix for CRQ-9450, which brings about performance improvements when importing multiple Studio return packages at the same time.

Resolution:
You can fix these issues by deploying the hotfix, which is available on FTP.

To do so:

1. Back up the Sdl.WorldServer.FileTypeSupport.Server.HostProcess.exe.config and Sdl.WorldServer.FileTypeSupport.Server.Launcher.exe.config files.
2. Uninstall your existing instance of the FTS Server.
3. Copy the SDL_Hotfix_WS11.3.1_For_CRQ-9450_MS_SQL.sql script to your machine and run it on your Microsoft SQL Server database.
4. Copy the the FileTypeSupportServer.msi installer from FTP to your machine and run it to upgrade to version 11.3.0.1727 of the FTS Server.
5. Compare the new Sdl.WorldServer.FileTypeSupport.Server.HostProcess.exe.config and Sdl.WorldServer.FileTypeSupport.Server.Launcher.exe.config files with the ones you backed up. If there are any additional properties in the new files, add them to the backup files as well. For this particular hotfix, there is a new property in the Sdl.WorldServer.FileTypeSupport.Server.HostProcess.exe.config file, called <add key="UseMergeStrategyForImports" value="true"/>.
6. Restore the backed up Sdl.WorldServer.FileTypeSupport.Server.HostProcess.exe.config and Sdl.WorldServer.FileTypeSupport.Server.Launcher.exe.config files.
7. Restart the FTS Server.

If you cannot upgrade, connect to the Customer Support Web Portal and log a case. You need an account to log a case. If you do not have an account, contact your company's SDL Support Account Administrator.
