You wish to take advantage of the latest upgrade to SDL WorldServer and need to understand what is included.
Explanation
In this release, SDL has made a number of significant improvements to the WorldServer 10.4 product line, including an update to the FTS to update the file types, including adding 6 new out-of-the-box file types:
- Bilingual Excel Studio File Type
- Portable Object Studio File Type
- SubRip Studio File Type
- MadCap Compliant XML Studio File Type
- Author-it Compliant XML Studio File Type
- Microsoft Word 2007-2016 DOCX (Tech Preview)
This last one is offered as a Technology Preview so you can test the functionality of this new filter, which has been rewritten from the ground up. In addition to supporting DOCX files from Office 365, it can also process DOCX files from non-Microsoft sources, for example Google Docs.
