  • You’re currently using an older version of Trados Studio 2022, for which there is no compatible WorldServer Compatibility Package available in the RWS AppStore.

As outlined in the article I shared, the compatibility packages you have installed —17.1.7.1950, 17.1.6.1940, and 17.2.11.2002—are designed for more recent versions of Trados Studio 2022. They are not compatible with your current Studio version.

To ensure compatibility with WorldServer, you’ll need to update your Studio installation to one of the supported versions. Please refer to this article

    https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0027467

and more specifically to this section:

List of Trados Studio versions and corresponding WorldServer component versions, with Trados Studio 2022 SR2 CU10 and CU12 highlighted in red.

    Follow these steps:

1- Uninstall your current version of the WorldServer Components 2022 from your computer.

2- Download and install the latest version of Trados Studio 2022, which is Trados Studio 2022 SR2 CU12 - 17.2.12.19268.  You can find the URL to the Trados Studio installer in this article:

    https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0027380

Highlighted download links for Trados Studio 2022 SR2, with a red arrow pointing to the text 'Click here'.

3- Ensure that you have installed the latest Studio 2022 SR 2 version successfully by opening it without issues. Note: the buttons "Open WorldServer Package" and "Create WorldServer Return Package" will not be present in the Projects tab.

4- Go to the RWS Store and download the WorldServer component Trados Studio 2022 (SR2), 17.2.11.2002

5- Once you have downloaded the correct WorldServer component that matches your Trados Studio version, close Trados Studio

6- Unzip the WorldServer Compatibility Pack for Trados Studio.zip file that you have downloaded and double-click on the WorldServerComponents.msi file to start and finish the installation. It will finish very quickly and silently.

7- Reopen Trados Studio. In the Projects tab, you will now see the Open WorldServer package button. Use this button to browse to and open your WSXZ (WorldServer) package. You will also see the new button Create WorldServer Return package. You can use this button to create a WSXZ Return package once you are done with your translation. Test both operations to confirm that all works fine.

    I hope this helps you!
