I recently lost the search panel in any of my Management areas and in the legacy UI.
I can still filter and search if I log into Transport and also from the Projects view of the modern UI. Any suggestions?

can you try to remove one of the column (i.e. "Description") from the View? Is the Search button available and selectable? If that does not help, have a look at this article and to Resolution #2, which is basically a way to reset your user's configuration from the Database, overriding any previous Search filter you might have set and that might cause this view issue:

I had the similar issue with the user list (WS 11.1.1.4107 & 11.7.3.328).
Problem: Too many entries.
Solution: I deleted some entries (=users) and then at around 300 entries the filter/search panel came back.
