We’re excited to announce the latest release of Tridion Docs Genius, bringing new capabilities that enhance both the user experience and platform performance.
Web analytics made simple
Understanding how users interact with your documentation is key to optimizing content. With this release, we’ve introduced basic web analytics support through Google Analytics. By simply configuring your Google tag, you can now track valuable metrics such as:
- Page views
- Clicks
- Device and browser usage
This gives you actionable insights into how your content is performing.
️ Platform upgrades for better performance
To ensure Genius remains fast, secure, and future-ready, we’ve upgraded the underlying platform to the latest technologies:
- Next.js 15: Now with metadata streaming for faster topic page loading, especially noticeable on slower connections.
- React 19: Improved performance and developer experience.
- MUI Component Library 7: Enhanced UI consistency and accessibility.
️ Usability & quality improvements
We’ve also addressed several issues and enhancements based on your feedback:
- Improved accessibility: links now show an underline on hover for better visibility.
- Sub-steps now display using lowercase letters for clearer structure.
- Topic locale support ensures users see content in the correct language.
- Fixed an issue where the version selector could lead to the wrong publication.
- Resolved a bug where tagging a publication with multiple product families resulted in “Product Undefined.”
- Various styling improvements for titles and search result cards.
Coming soon: role-based access
Looking ahead, our next release will introduce role-based access control, a highly requested feature that will give you more flexibility and security in managing content permissions.
