Starting up Studio 2017 just gives an empty screen...

Question

A few weeks ago, Studio 2017 crashed and despite deleting and reinstalling, nothing is happening... It starts up, initializes views and then just sits there as a ghost image if I hover over the icon. Clicking on it does nothing... I can still work in 2015, but packages open automatically in 2017, which works, but then again... 
 I haven't found any solutions to this problem yet. Anyone got any suggestions?

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you- just saw your question. 
 
Without a more detailed description of the issue, I believe what you are describing is Studio starting but then mysteriously disappearing off screen. 
This can happen if you have used two screens or more and when un-docking Windows has refused to accommodate the changes. 
OR- there is some secret key combination that causes this infuriating issue. 
 
To resolve the issue - one of the following should help-
