Resources folder

Greetings,

We have editorial processes that require us to publish maps to Reach/Collaborative Review containing unrelated topics. Frequently, these topics contain links to other topics that are not included in the map. Prior to my time here working with SDL, other users here indicated that these resources would be automatically added to the resources folder (based to their recollections). Now they definitely are not added automatically, and when we publish to Reach, the publication fails until we account for every link target that is not included in the map. For some of our editorial reviews, this can mean tracking down and including a high number of files in the resources folder. My questions are as follows:

- Has SDL ever automatically added these files to the Resources folder in a publication?

- Should publishing to Reach fail on the occasion that a link target is not included in the Resources folder?

Thanks,

Parents
  • Hi Bill. I used the product as a customer dating back to the LCA 2013 release and it never added the resource files automatically. All the training materials that I am have access to indicate that the resource files must be added by the author. At least, that was the out of the box behavior of the software. Not sure about the Reach fail to publish. I know you can't Freeze the Baseline without resolving the resource files.
