In planning a migration of our 2016KC application to a new set of servers we'd like to get insights into proper allocation of infrastructure resources according to the server role. Our main considerations:
- Publishing role:
- I/O intensive as exporting source files form the DB to the host server is the main bottleneck of the process
- Network to facilitate source file transfers
- Web role:
- Our user load is heavily dependent on WS layer, particularly from automated systems that actively request metadata sets. Apart from network, how can we endow the servers to support its operations.
