Output format with wrong language properties

Question

Hi all, 
 One of my translation coordinator created a new output format and specified the language with capitals ('EN' instead of 'en'). This output format is in the release status and disrupts the opening of the publication in Publication Manager (Language with text 'EN' could not be found). I can not change this value, the field is grayed out and I do not want to create a new language. Is it possible to ensure that an administrator can fix the property or is it that the best way is to do a new version?

I'm a bit puzzled how your Translation Coordinator got to that result - any automation involved. If I'm understanding correctly where you are in the application, then I think the language-combination is part of the key of the object just like LogicalId (GUID), version, language, resolution and OutputFormat. So I don't think you will be able to update that. 
 
If delete/create or creating a branch publication version is not working for you; you could reach out to Customer Support as they might have a backdoor.
