How to add template in SDL Tridion Doc 13 ?

Hello 

I m trying to add image template in SDL Tridion docs 13.

I m following below steps.

When i follow step 2--> b,  i got below error.

Error message in SDL Tridion Content Manager dialog box saying 'There is no template available. Please select a template before continuing.'

 

Also there is sample file available in folder  \InfoShare\Web\Author\EnterViaUI\System\Editor Templates\Illustrations\EmptyGraphic.png.

    Hi Swapnil,

    1. The behavior improved in 13SP1/13.0.1, but I assume you are on 13/13.0.0?
    2. Is this a new database starting from our Empty/Demo database (if so which one)? Or did you upgrade, if so from which exact version?
    3. Depending on your starting point, there is chicken vs egg dilemma. Did you execute \App\Database\Common\DatabaseIndependent\Examples\UpdateEditorTemplates\Update-ImageTemplate.ps1 as that gives you the starting point to submit more image editor templates.

    Hi Dave,

    I was going to post a similar question. We recently upgraded to TD 13 SP1 (we are in a hosted environment) and I'm trying to create a new topic template following these instructions under "Adding a topic template":

    3. Create the topic template:
    a. In the Content Manager web, select the Repository tab.
    b. Open System > Editor template then select Topics.
    c. Click the New Object icon in the top right pane.
    d. Enter the the name of the template in the Title field and select Topic from the list in the Content Type field.
    e. Click Next.
    f. Click Next in the Add Topic Document Version window.
    g. Click Browse next to the File field in the Add Topic Document Language window.
    h. Select the template file to add.

    After I do step c, I don't get a dialog box where I can put the Title etc. It forces me to select an existing topic template. It doesn't allow me to Browse and select the template file to add.

    I see this information in the "Administering Editor Templates" section in the SDL documentation:

    If you cannot create new topics, the plug-in SETMASTERORMAPID may need to be configured. Contact SDL Professional Services if you need assistance.

    We were able to create templates for everything in our KC 2016 environment. I also can't create or modify an existing Publication template.
