Is there any way to add a folder to the My Favorites folder? I know we can add individual objects (topic, map, etc), but I cannot see how to add an entire folder to My Favorites.
We are using KC 2016 SP 0.
Thanks!

Hi Rhonda,
This is not possible in one go from the folder object itself.
In the webclient UI, you should be able to multiselect the objects within the folder (on the logical level) and use the Create ShortCut button.
This will allow you to add all object references at once.
If you want to keep them grouped by the folder you can (re-)create a subfolder in the My Favorites folder as well to keep them group.
It is not possible to get this done in one go.
Kind Regards,
Raf
Hi Rhonda,
The same functionality is available within the Publication Manager Client tool as well. Already in Tridion Docs 13.
So when you select the Favorites folder in the client tools (browse repository dialog) and you click the Add-Icon (plus Sign on the toolbar), you can select the objects to be linked in the favorites folder (or any created subfolder in the favorites folder).
Drag 'n Drop the objects from any location in the client tools towards the Favorites folder should work as well.
Kind Regards,
Raf
We are also wondering this. We are using Tridion Docs 14.0.2 and some writers would like to use the My Favorites for quick access to deeply-buried folders. We don't want to create a new folder under My Favorites and add topic shortcuts from the original folder because the two will get out of sync when new topics are added. We need like a bookmark option on folders in the repository that are commonly used. Our writers use Pub Manager and not Content Manager in a browser.
I would use query folders for this, to ensure content doesn't get out of sync. More info on docs site.
I'm watching this topic. I agree it would be very useful to be able to create a "shortcut" to a folder itself instead of to individual objects inside folders only. Does RWS have any plans to add this feature?
I don't know if most writers would be able to do this (understand the language and names). The result they want is = show me all the topics in "this" folder, and that folder may be buried in a deep path. The corporate structure organizes by a hierarchical taxonomy with the lowest levels of each tree repeating folder names liked topics, maps, images, and publications.
I added it to the Tridion Docs Ideas forum, just in case.
