Tridion Docs prohibits you from deleting users that have content ownership. This is for auditing purposes. All you can do is disable them. In the latest version of Tridion Docs you can disable and also inactivate the user so that the username no longer appears in select lists.

Hi Pam,
thanks for the response.
Is it possible to disable them through PowerShell?
Thanks,

It depends on the version of Tridion Docs you are running and whether or not this is available. Check the Web Client Content Manager UI. If the "inactivate" option is there, then you are able to do this. If it is not, then you are unable to do this via Powershell.

This is kind of related. When I try to delete a user and get this message:
0 item(s) were deleted successfully.
1 item(s) could not be deleted.
I’ve done a full text search and it does not find anything. I tried searching for this user in all the user fields on the search page and it doesn’t find anything. What report am I supposed to be able to generate to find out where this user has content associated to them?
Thanks!
