Hello,
At Cytiva, there are sometimes requests for "preliminary" quotes for translation jobs from the business.
They want to see what the translation will cost to calculate budgets etc.
I obliged twice, and unfortunately both times ran into problems.
I'm posting this here to see if other users have experienced the same issue rather than contacting support as the problem is under control/solved by now.
Have patience with me :-)
This is the use case:
-I created a translation project in the Tridion web client (13, SP2)
-Picked up the exported files from the FTP server
-Cancelled the translation job in the web client (Translation Jobs > Cancel)
-The job was rolled back and received status Cancelled
-I created a new translation job a few days later that shared a few files with the previous, cancelled project.
-The shared files were not exported for translation. The status remained In Translation in the web client.
This was a problem, because now we have "missing" translations.
-I later created a third project that had the same shared files. Voila - they were now exported for translation.
So, at this stage it seems dangerous to roll back projects. I can only think of it as a database glitch (one should be able to trust that a project with status Cancelled is completely rolled back?)
Best,
Peter
