replace/rename ish conditions

Hi

We are using SDL Tridion docs, Publication manager 14.0.1 and XMETAL 12.

I have made used an ish condition with a preliminary product name

Now we got the final product name.

I can create a new ish condition with the proper name and replace all occurrences of the old one in my map.

Is there an easy way to do this?

  • Hi Verner,

If you used Condition Manager, you can check the "Where Used" option to tell you where your previous attempt was used already. Also full text index Search could give you those results if the product name is/was unique enough. There is an XMetaL Find-Replace option across files, so it requires batch CheckOut to XMetaL, Find-Replace and CheckIn.

As a rebrand is not unlikely - talking from experience of Trisoft InfoShare over SDL Trisoft over SDL LiveContent over SDL Knowledge Center to SDL Tridion Docs :-) - we are using codenames or product versions. The mapping of that codename is of course you'll have to arrange somewhere outside.
