We are using XMETAL 12, Publication Manager, and WebWorks Publisher to create context-sensitive online help in the Webworks help 5.0 format for our .Net software application. This help format is quite old, and we are going to support newer browsers that require a web server, in stead of a file-based help system.

I just tried to generate the Webhelp output that comes with Tridion Docs. It failed :-(. Probably because it hasn't been configured correctly when we upgraded Tridion Docs  version 14.0.1.

Have you used the web help that comes with Tridion docs? Can you modify it: For example, change skins, add buttons for Print and Search. Can it  support features like analytics and responsive design? Are there contractors that can develop it further or do you need SDL to do it?

Do you have another solution to create state of the art context-sensitive help for software applications?
