Rendering Review and Draft Spaces

We are as a Tridion Docs team currently reviewing the Draft and Review Spaces since there are some SRQs and submitted ideas regarding what is missing or what needs to be improved in it. The idea is whether or not to align Review Space with Draft Space layout therefore there is a need to start a discussion around it. It will be helpful for us if you provide feedback or insights regarding the questions below. Thank you

  • Is it a good idea to have a richer rendering over all for Draft and Review Spaces?
  • Will it be good or bad idea to make Review Space content window exactly the same as in Draft Space?
  • Do you consider to use Review Space same way as Draft Space? Or you prefer to see Review Space as simple as it is currently?
  • Will it be necessary to add breadcrumbs and XLM to Review Space?
  • Yes, I believe it would be a good idea to offer richer rendering in Collective Spaces so clients can match the view to Publication Manager and Web Client. On that note we use a third party digital asset manager as one is not provided by SDL, we were able to update the stylesheets to view images in Pub manager, web client and collaborative Review, but haven't been able to in collective Spaces. As for matching rendering in Draft and Review spaces, I would say yes, as currently there is only one file BehaviorConfig.xml which allows configurations and some changes show up in Draft and Review Spaces and some don't. We do expect to use Draft and Review spaces for different purposes, we would use Draft spaces for Editors and Review Space for Reviewers and prefer it to be simple. We don't use the breadcrumb or XLM in Draft or Review Spaces. Thank you for taking the time to put these questions out on the community forum.
