Unable to login to Publication Manager

We are running Tridion Docs 14.2 and Publication Manager 14.0.2 with Oxygen XML Author 21.1

I have a user who has successfully changed her password on Tridion Docs Content Manager, but cannot update the password in Publication Manager account.

She has used the same login as for Content Manager but gets a "Access is denied" error when changing the password.

We have tried moving the ...\SDL\InfoShare Client folder to a backup folder and relaunching Publication Manager, but the error persists.

Any help here would be appreciated.

  • Once you change your password in Content Manager, there is no need to use the Change Password button in a client application like Publication Manager or the SDL Bridge for Oxygen. The following procedure should work. Assuming you have only one account created on the client app side...

    1. Close the client app

    2. Change your password in Content Manager

    3. Open the client app and try to connect normally to the repository using the Browse Repository menu item

    4. You should get prompted to change your password (especially if you check "remember password" in the client app)

    5. Change the password in the Connect dialog box to what you reset it to in Content Manager

If you still have an issue, try one of these troubleshooting tips in the following order.

    1. Uncheck "Remember password" in your client app account and try to log in with the new password.

    2. Delete the client app account and recreate it using the new password.

    3. Clear your cache on the client side by deleting the \SDL\InfoShare Client folder

    4. Reinstall the client app.

    Good luck.
