Poor response time for SDL LiveContent in Atmel Trondheim, Nantes and India/Chennai

  • Hey Jean-Pierre

My name is Marc and I'm the Service Delivery Manager for the Knowledge Center (aka LiveContent) hosted service. I'm sorry you're having performance issues from your satellite or remote locations.

I have been running a project to investigate latency/performance from our data centres in the USA and UK to locations such as India. We've found that there's a lot of variables in these larger distances, everything from the number of internet hops, to bandwidth bottlenecks into certain regions within a country. Saying that, we have found some improvements by implementing additional packet compression and optimising the TCP profiles relating to network events. We can investigate if these changes can improve performance for Atmel satellite users.

If you can raise a Customer Support ticket, then we can start looking this. Please do detail if the remote sites are experiencing issues at a certain time of day. Here's the link to our Customer Support portal: http://www.sdl.com/support

    Regards, Marc
