Has anyone developed a plugin for Markdown output?

We are investigating outputting our DITA content to (GitHub/GFM-flavored) Markdown format. Has anyone done this already, and do you have any suggestions?

We are on-prem, TDX 15.1.2. DITA-OT 3.5.4.
