Uninstall Error for AuthorBridge when oXygen is uninstalled first

If you are use oXygen and you uninstall it without uninstalling the SDL AuthorBridge first, you'll get an error when got to uninstall AuthorBridge. Best practice is to uninstall the AuthorBridge first and then the authoring tool. The error is "The specified account already exists." Download and run Microsoft's registry tool. It fixes the problem and it will uninstall AuthorBridge: support.microsoft.com/.../en

  • The Microsoft Troubleshooter no longer finds the Authoring Bridge to uninstall in our environment.

If I select "Not Listed", it then asks for a Product Code. Where would I find that?

I often have users in the situation where they do not uninstall Oxygen first and then they are stuck.

Are there any other steps I can give them to remove the Bridge in this situation so that they can move forward with installing newer versions?
