When saving target file (Trados Studio 2017 with latest service pack installed), I get an error: "Failed to save target content: Index must be within the bounds of the list. Paramter name: index. Original XLIFF & error attached

    Did you create these file programatically using the APIs? If not you're posting in the wrong place. You need to post into here:

    Also zip up the SDLXLIFF and the original source file and then we can help. You can attach zip files.

    Hi Paul, My bad. I created these from the Studio 2017 application. I'll repost in the other form. Thanks for the shortcut! 

    I do represent a software vendor that produced the original XLIFF 2.0 output, so I thought this might be a more effective place to post.  I'll see how my responses in the other form look.  My new post is here: https://community.sdl.com/product-groups/translationproductivity/f/90/t/17805

    Just about any XML file is, in essence, a text file. In fact, you can search and replace and then save, for instance, an XLIFF file (namely an SDLXIFF file) with any text editor (Notepad++ recommended). Needless to say, everything related to content, not the tags or anything else. As long as you know what you're doing, it's safe and practical.
