Organizing files & setting up projects

I have purchased TRADOS 6 years ago and I am still a very beginner.

Please teach us how to organize all TRADOS-related files in a intelligent way (in a translator point of view, dealing with various clients).

I recently had many technical problems with setting up my software, so the paths of my files have changed and I now need to reconfigure the settings of each of my projects (for them to point out to the right new locations). How do I do that?

And how to set up a new project?

In the process, I also noticed that my TM needed to be upgraded BUT the button "upgrade" is not accessible!! :-)

Thank you
