- Respect for All: Treat every member with respect, kindness, and consideration. We value diversity and are committed to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or level of expertise.
- Constructive Communication: Engage in discussions that are positive and constructive. Offer help, share knowledge, and provide feedback in a way that encourages growth and learning. Avoid negativity, criticism that isn't constructive, and personal attacks.
- Professional Integrity: Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions. This includes honesty in sharing experiences and solutions, as well as respecting the confidentiality of sensitive information before you share it within the community. Remember that the Trados Solutions Hub is part of a public community.
- Adherence to Guidelines: Follow all posted guidelines for the Trados Solutions Hub, including those for posting questions, sharing ideas, and participating in clinics and discussions.
Posting Rules:
To ensure the Trados Solutions Hub remains a valuable resource for everyone, please adhere to the following posting rules when contributing to all activity in this hub:
- Clarity and Specificity: When posting questions or topics, be as clear and specific as possible. Include relevant details that can help others understand your query or suggestion. This assists in generating focused and useful responses.
- Relevance to Trados Products: Ensure your posts are directly related to the use, features, and optimization of Trados products. Share experiences, challenges, and questions that contribute to learning and problem-solving within the Trados ecosystem.
- Constructive Topics Only: Focus on constructive topics that promote learning and improvement. This includes how-to queries, best practices, and innovative uses of Trados products. Avoid posting complaints, bug reports, or non-constructive criticism. For bug reports or technical issues, please use the forums for the appropriate product under the Trados Portfolio.
- Search Before Posting: Before creating a new topic, do a quick search to see if a similar question has already been asked or answered. This helps in reducing duplicate content and leveraging existing discussions.
- Respect Intellectual Property: When sharing content, make sure you have the right to share it and acknowledge the source appropriately. Do not post copyrighted material without permission, and remember that this is a public community.
- No Spam or Self-Promotion: This hub is a place for learning and sharing, not for advertising services or products. Posts deemed as spam or overly promotional will be removed. If you do offer services that could support users in solving the questions asked you should contact the hub owners and we may agree to include a reference in the clinics.
- Engage Respectfully: Engage with other community members respectfully, fostering a supportive environment. Respect diverse opinions and experiences, and respond constructively to disagreements.
Privacy and Security:
In our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful community, it's crucial that all members of the Trados Solutions Hub adhere to the following privacy and security guidelines:
- Personal Information: Avoid sharing personal information, such as email addresses, phone numbers, or any other details that can be used to identify or contact you outside the platform. If you need to exchange information for troubleshooting or collaboration, use private messages as this platform does support them, and even then, exercise caution.
- Confidentiality: Do not post confidential or proprietary information. This includes, but is not limited to, unpublished software, codes, or any material covered under non-disclosure agreements. Sharing such information could violate privacy policies and agreements.
- Security Practices: Be mindful of security when discussing or sharing files and links. Ensure that any files shared are free of malware and that links are to reputable sources. Malicious content jeopardizes the security of our community and members.
- Respect Others’ Privacy: Just as you should protect your own privacy, respect the privacy of others. Do not share information about other users or their posts outside of this community without their explicit consent.
- Reporting Concerns: If you come across a post or behaviour that seems to infringe on privacy or security, please report it to the moderators immediately. We're here to maintain a secure environment for everyone.
