Idea Delivered

We have now delivered a Language planning task that enables this:  Trados Enterprise - 24.11.1 Release

Make it possible to launch only some languages in a multilingual or a multifile project

Currently, in a multilingual project (let's say 5 languages), there is now way to first launch 3 out of the 5 languages and then to launch the remaining 2 languages. Or to launch some files and the rest later. Trados Enterprise "forces" you to complete the Project Planning task which launches all the files/languages at the same time. Could you please add that specific feature?

  • Hi Carla,

    A few ideas here:

    - The Project Manager could initially assign the languages they don't want to launch to themselves, so the Translation task would be with them initially and then they could re-assign to whoever is supposed to work on it. This way the other languages could launch

    - Alternatively with Workflow Editor you could design a Custom Workflow Template that has a holding task after planning, that again is assigned to the Project Manager

    Would that be an option?

    Thanks,

    Luis
