When you create a project with various files in Trados Team or Trados Enterprise, once you get to the Preparation/ Project Planning step, you can only assign all files of one target language to one user or user group. You cannot take 10 files and assign to user/user group X, and take another 10 files and assign to user/user group Y…

Currently, the only functional workaround to enable individual assignments per file, is that whoever takes on the task of project planning, assigns himself to the translation and review steps in the workflow (skipping the preparation stage), and then reassigns the relevant files to the relevant individuals. When the files reach the review step, the same operation will have to be repeated.

That’s not ideal, since it stops the automated flow from translator to reviewer… and it means the project assignment is only done AFTER the project planning task has been marked as completed.
