Change the segments background color in Editor view or give us a visible sign when a filter is applied.

When a filter is applied using the Advanced Display Filter, the results can be very extensive and after working in them for a long time or after a long interruption we can easily forget that what we are seeing is not the whole file, only the filtered segments..

It would be very helpful if Studio could show us clearly that we are working in a filtered view. This could be done by changing the background color of the segments that are in the current view (as it happens when we select the whole view and the background color turns yellow) or by including any visible sign anywhere.

  • @Silvia Cavicchio: I find that one can cause the advanced display filter to highlight filtered segments for a given filter with a selected colour. Is this the desired property? And the "Highlight" menu contains a "Clear" option, to clear (i.e. remove)  the highlighting.

  • @Adam Warren: This Highlight function is not exactly what I wanted, because it highlights only the target segments. If there are untranslated segments in the file, they do not become highlighted. And the colors are all too dark (except Light Gray, of course). The function as it is now is very helpful indeed, but it could be improved by highlighting the whole text in Editor View and in lighter colors, such as the light yellow color we see when we use the "select all" function.
