Are you able to confirm that the fonts you have installed contained the missing characters? I have used FontLab studio and Fontographer in the past. It's also common for some font vendors/foundries to have a list of characters that a typeface supports (such as this one for Roboto: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto/glyphs). 

If you discover that the font that you have installed does not contain the required characters but another (similar looking) typeface that you have already installed does, you can use the Default FAST in the FV spec to define a font failover. In fonts.pdf, check out Primary FAST, Secondary FAST and Default FAST in Chapter 12 - The Font Variant Spec.

If you don't have a typeface installed that's similar enough to what's needed, you may consider installing a font from Google Fonts that 

1. Looks similar to the typeface you're working with; and
2. Contains the required character(s) 

Once this is done, you can go back to the FV spec and define the Default (or Secondary) FASTs.

Another option to find out if the special characters you need to access are present in the font file are to use the xyprfont.pl utility. Take a look at this knowledge article, https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000018735. The xyprfont.pl utility will generate a postscript file that can be distilled to PDF. It shows Unicode characters in grid format that are contained in the font you specify with the xyprfont.pl utility.

What do you mean by "special characters"? If pi or symbol chars, maybe you forgot to specify Secondary FAST in your font variant spec?

In addition to running xyprfont.pl on the source fonts (are they OpenType or Type 1?), you should also run the Font Width utility on your new FASTs. If the "special chars" are physically in your new fonts (and not in a pi font somewhere else), and they don't show up in Font Width div, then the Style Code matching in the pts or fgs specs might be wrong for those chars to get included in your FAST(s).

Don't forget. Running Build FAST updates the named fv spec in your Lfontlib, not in a likely different Lstylelib that JOBs/DIVs search for fv specs. You need to incorporate new fv entries from your Lfontlib/_fv_name.sde into your Lstylelib/_fv_name.sde.

It might be best to first determine if ITC Clearface Std contains the required characters.

 Sharon Appleton  mentioned xyprfont.pl as a way to generate postscript (that can be distilled into a PDF) of the characters contained in ITC Clearface Std. Using this, you can verify if the characters you're looking for are present in the font you installed. 

Are the required characters present in the list of glyphs?

Which characters are you missing?

I was only able to locate the "Pro" version (this contains more glyphs than the "Std" version that's been installed)

Thanks for your reply, I have run Building FAST at Lpost and save and restored font from Lpost to my Job, special characters are live double quotes, register symbol, copyright symbol etc., I have inserted entities in input but they are not generating in pdf.

That sounds like you're not getting pi font characters. You should probably open a support ticket. There are too many pieces in the process of getting fonts to work to debug in a forum like this.
