Looks like it's not because of update. Colleagues asked you to submit a ticket through https://gateway.sdl.com/webtocase - they will check license state and reset if needed.

Since error says that license server is not running, did you try to restart PC, re-run License manager to check if spinning loader fixed?

Understand about working, bad engineers, etc. Things happen with every software (look at latest Windows 10 updates!), sorry for inconveniences!

I did build a new Virtual Machine (and win 10 cumulative update this time went OK) so ...
Before to open the ticket ... what if I install a NEW License Manager on the newest VirtualMachine and I try to install there a new copy of Business Manager (and in the future I will move Studio 2019 from the old one to the new one too; cause the old one is terribly UNSTABLE)

Can I do this or the License Manager will conflict with the old installation? (Of course I will not run them at the same time but who knows how they work on SDL servers) ...

And I have a nohetr problem ... I have Studio Plus but instead of 2 licenses only 1 is available ... I think that is wrong ... (there should be 2) How can I check this?

Well, not sure what to answer. Simply try - you won't corrupt anything with this. And of course tell us if that worked. However, if your license is in use and you can't "return" (deactivate) it, I think the only way to fix this is to ask support team to reset license which is "in use".

PLEASE ... I really want to ask You: "what is the starting time" of your Baccs ???

I have to understand if my is so slow because of the Virtual Machine or it is normal ... it take almost 1 minute to get open! 56 seconds, to be correct ... AND ... I am talking about the new installation, with a 4 MB of almost empty DB ...

This thing, appears after 13 seconds!



Is it normal??

Good question. I'm also worried about this. For me, full launch time for 40mb database is 9.41 seconds.

My PC has i7-8750H processor and SSD. RAM is not important for launch time. To continue testing, I just moved the app to regular HDD, and launch time is 1 second more. Of course, to run it quickly on VM, you have to assign more CPU power to a VM, I suppose.

Which specs you have?

I think the dimension of the DB is not so relevant because installing THIS new version on my NEW virtual Machine I saw that the very FIRST lanch is VERY SLOW too ...

Still ... my machine has 16 gigs of RAM, ok is not important but just to sey... then 1 tera SSDs and a 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5 dual-core processor.

On my VM I have 12 gigs of RAM, 250 Gigs of Spas in the SSD and 2 active core (If I try to set more, it says it could slow down my Mac and my VM too) ...

I'm getting pretty much exactly 9 seconds here myself, this is on a Dell Precision 7740, i9-9980HK, 64GB RAM, Samsung SSD 970 PRO.

Thanks! Yeah, after using my trusty old Dell Precision M6800 laptop for 6 years, I figured it was time for an upgrade. That one was already fast, but this new one is amazing. Working in memoQ is considerably snappier. Studio seems about the same, i.e. already fast, apart from all the usual annoying bugs, etc.
