Installation

Question

Hi, 
 I had a problem with Windows 10 which forced me to reinstall Trados Studio 2014 again. I got a message that the installation was successful yesterday, but today I got an error message while starting up Studio. The error reads: Application is not configured for LanguageCloudUrlsConfig. 
 The other problem, as is clear from the Screenshot below, is that the languages saved in Trados are different from the languages that I chose in the setup and the Arabic language, which is my target language, is not available. Could you please advise how to solve these two problems?? Best regards,

Hello noha mostafa , 
 
I believe this issue is because of lack of admin rights- 
resolution is simply to run Studio as ADMIN 
 
 gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge 
 
Please be aware that you must have the latest Studio 2014 (SP6) installed. 
Previous SP versions will not work.

Hi noha mostafa , 
 Steven Whale 's suggested solution should work - right click on the Studio icon and select 'Run as administrator' or reinstall as Admin - and indeed it is best to perform every installation this way (right-click on the file to be installed and select 'Install as Admin' from the dropdown menu). 
 In case there are further issues preventing this... With licensing or installation issues that are stopping you working you can get free help from SDL Support really quickly here: 
 Licensing or installation issues 
 Fill in all the details required on the form and submit it. There is a box to select whether it is an installation or licensing problem. They will help you free of charge. 
 Make sure your email address is correct or nobody will be able to contact you. You will receive an auto-reply immediately then they will contact you ASAP, usually within 24 hours depending how busy they are.

Hello noha mostafa (nohamostafa) , 
 Are you able to see the Web lookup icon in Studio (Editor View)? 
 
 If this is the case- 
 Try 1) disabling the plug in 
 
 Then close Studio- maybe even reboot. 
 Restart Studio 
 Enable the Plug In 
 Restart Studio again and see now if this resolves the issue.

Hi nohamostafa , 
 It's probably a silly question, but did you download the correct version of the Web Lookup app? After you click 'Download', the following dialog appears:

A dropdown menu appears when you click on the little 'down' arrow, where you can select either 1.3 (2014) or 1.3 (2015-2017). 
 If you can't see the app on your toolbar and in the list as Steven Whale described in his excellent post, the above would explain it...

Hello noha mostafa (nohamostafa) , 
 Can you first confirm you are using a PC (and not a MAC) please- and if you are using Parallels (or similar such as VM) on a MAC- that you are accessing the App store via Parallels and not the MAC! 
 If so go to your downloads folders and locate - Web Lookup (or go to downloads in your Browser to highlight the folder where the app is saved)

Now when you double click the icon this should start the SDL Plugin Install Wizard 
 
 Then after a few quick and easy steps- you should get the message that the app is installed. 
 If you are not getting any of this - please includes screen shots of the error messages as they happen.
