Studio 2019: Activated installation suddenly says: 'Evaluation Expired'

Question

Good afternoon, 
 My installation of Studio 2019 was activated with the appropriate licence key on the day of release (25 July). Suddenly, I cannot run the programme. It stops with the message 'Evaluation Expired (26)'. But I have never run an evaluation version. 
 When checking my account, it says there is one licence in use. Indeed activated on 25 July. 
 How can I resolve this, please? I know I can use an extra activation, but if I do that, I will have nothing to fall back on. 
 Please advise.

I have spoken to our licensing team who like me have not seen this before. 
They have suggested logging a ticket via your account and we will investigate this in more depth. 
Maybe this was a simple one off 'quirk'- but we would like to make sure.

Would you be able to post a screen shot please. I have never seen this message before (in any version tbh.) 
 
In the mean time, please reactivate Studio with the second activation. 
Once you have done this- you can return to your account and again go to 'return licenses' which will enable you to force return the first one (based on the date). This way you will have the fall back activation. 
 
Once i have the actual screen shot/message, we can investigate this for you as the 25th July was the date Studio 2019 was released.

 Delete the Studio.lic file in this location and restart Studio: 
 C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio15\Data 
 If that doesn't help please log a case.

 The above two solutions are very simple. 
 If the first doesn't work, then you don't have to log a support ticket, you can get quickly get free help when installation hasn't worked properly. It takes minutes to do the above... 
 One point that may be relevant is that if you've used a trial version of Studio before, even a previous version, and let it run its full time, your PC will remember that and trigger the expiry message.

 Sorry, I was rushing, I should have read Paul 's message through. He was presenting the solution to resetting an existing license, which isn't the case here. 
 Normally you should be able to download and run the trial version with no problem. 
 As I said, if you've run a previous trial version till it expired there may be an issue but it isn't the default setting that you can't. I think it's a bug that just happens to some people. It happened to me when I was beta testing the first beta of Studio 2019... At the time I discussed it with other beta testers and they hadn't all experienced the same symptoms, I was the only one... I'm sure if it were an easy thing to fix, they'd have sorted it then... 
 I hope you'll find that the most recent version of Studio 2019 is worth the wait. I certainly did
