Trados Studio 2019 startet nicht mehr. Fehler: "Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden"

Hallo, 

aus heiterem Himmel - oder nach Windows Update? - startet mein Trados Studio 2019 nicht mehr. Zunächst scheint es zu laden, aber dann erscheint die Fehlermeldung: "Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden". Habe bereits die Installation repariert und auch Trados neu installiert, aber ohne Erfolg. Weiß jemand Rat?

  • Try a reset.  Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0

    So the path would become this:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0_old

    If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

    If that doesn't work you might have to recreate your project and pre-translate from your TM.  This sort of thing can happen if you have Anti-Virus software, or maybe disk maintenance software, that is not configured correctly.  So it can delete temporary files that Studio is still using.

  • Hi Paul, as renaming the 15.0.0.0 folder didn't work, I now uninstalled Trados Studio 19 and erased every trace of it in my registry before re-installing it. Now, at least, starting Trados shows "some" reaction. The product activation window opens but when I click the button "Activate", I get the following error message: "Der angeforderte Dienst ist nicht verfügbar: Sdl.Desktop.Platform.Services.ITelemetryService.". In English it should be something like "The service 'Sdl.Desktop.Platform.Services.ITelemetryService' could not be started/is not available.". I searched the community, the knowledge base and the internet, but the solutions and workarounds I found were pretty much the same as the one you gave me. I tried them all but it still doesn't work. 

    Can you help?

  • I suggest you log a case and the support team will sort this out for you.

    You have two options:

    1. Submit a case using a webform
    2. Use live chat to get a licence reset
