There can be a number of causes for this- depending on the exception.

I think the KB from Ana-Loredana may be the best approach to solving this problem:

Note that the location you need is this one:
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\
The KB needs updating to include the 2021 version ( Vlad Bondor )
