problems activating Trados Studio 2021 after Windows 11 upgrade

I recently upgraded Windows 10 to Windows 11.Error dialog box in Trados Studio with a red cross icon, stating 'Activation failed. No licenses available for the entered activation code.' with an OK button.

Now there is a dialog box that appears when I open Trados Studio 2021 saying that my license expired even though I have a perpetual license.

How can I deactivate my license online and get a new activation code?

  • Hi,

Your colleague could deactivate and then reactivate it. Lucky me that I didn't have any urgent translation on my desk to work on!

But honestly, you should try to find a solution so people can contact you without having to mess with a bot unable to answer a simple question. This is upsetting me again and again. Mostly the questions are very simple and a human being will solve them within minutes. A bot cannot - and proves it repeatedly.

Instead I have to spend my time trying to figure out how I can find a solution to a problem I haven't even caused. This is far away from being hilarious!
