Studio 2014: can't retrieve license, unable to deactivate both online and offline

Hello, I have posted a similar question before, but I can't find it anywhere. I think it has failed to post, but if it didn't please excuse my posting it again.
I have an issue where my old Trados Studio 2014 suddenly started complaining it can't retrieve my license information. This came after I swapped my RAM sticks for better ones and after making a backup clone of my system drive (those are the only two things that come in mind, how I could have triggered this).
The Product activation dialog with the failed license retrieval message offers to deactivate my license, so I did. Online deactivation failed, so I was offered to deactivate offline, via code. I put in the code, clicked deactivate, and got another popup saying that this time I can't deactivate because of "Service missing or version not current", "(Support reference: ServiceVersionNotCurrent -65)

I'munable to run Trados Studio.

I'm really in a pickle here. I rely on Trados for half of my income, please help. Thank you.

SDL Trados Studio 2014 Product Activation window showing an error message 'An error occurred while retrieving your license.' with a Deactivate button.

Popup error message over SDL Trados Studio 2014 Product Activation window saying 'Cannot get your activation code. Deactivate by entering the code manually.'

Error dialog box stating 'Deactivation failed. Cannot deactivate license. - Service missing or version not current (Support reference: ServiceVersionNotCurrent -65)'
