Trados Studio 2015 without Autosuggest after having purchased an upgrade

I had purchased Studio 2014 and a colleague suggested that I updated the version to 2015 to be able to use AUTOSUGGEST since I complained that Studio did not have any autosuggest option.
I bought Studio 2015 online, paid $275 and the Autosuggest option is not available. I bought my previous versions at good price since I am on a developing country (Argentina), but I need Autosuggest and I don't have it.
Can you please let me know how to have access to it? Moreover, with Studio 2014 I had TWO licences (I use my desktop and my laptop) and I thought that if I upgraded my version, I would still have two licences. However, I now have one and I can not afford buying another one to be able to use my laptop and desktop. Why has this happened?

Did you also buy the "AutoSuggest Creator add-on"? The standard Studio Freelance version does not include the capability to create AutoSuggest dictionaries unless you also purchase this add-on. If you did, you should see a separate activation code in your customer account, which you can use to activate the add-on.

On the other hand, I would not worry because the 2015 version has an improved AutoSuggest feature (AutoSuggest 2.0), which basically makes the creation of a seperate AutoSuggest dictionary redundant because it now makes sub-segment suggestions directly from your TM.

About the second activation: when you purchased the upgrade, did you upgrade again to the Plus version (the one with two activations)? If you did and you do not see two activations in your customer account, submit a support ticket by going to support.xl8.one.

Hi Walter,

Thanks for replying. I did not buy the add-on. Do you know how much it will cost?

Regarding the two activations, I upgraded again to the Plus version (since I had the 2014 with two licences). I do not see two activations in my account, so I think I will need to send a support ticket.

Do my purchases have a special price since I am in a developing country? If not, I think I should buy everything through a Trados Studio reseller.

I would really appreciate if you could give me some information on prices as well!

Hi Paola,

I forwarded your enquiry to our sales guys so someone should be in touch tomorrow. In the meantime take a better look at Studio 2015 as this has some very neat features that support autosuggest functionality a lot more than previous versions. This excellent article explains how:

Hi Paul!

Thanks for your quick reply. Before buying the Autosuggest Add-on, I will see if I can get a discount due to being in Argentina. I bought Studio 2014 at a discounted price (if not, it would have been unaffordable!).

In the meantime, I will check why I don't have two licences.

Hi Paola,

I have checked your account and see that you do indeed have the PLUS version and that both activations are in use.
If this is an error you can request the reset of one of the activations http://support.xl8.one
In regards to the Autosuggest- you purchased the upgrade online at full price rather than the discounted price you would have been eligible for- but without AS!- therefore I will add this to your account free of charge.
You will receive a zero value invoice for your records and confirmation.

Hi Steve!

Thanks for your reply. I have launched Studio 2015 but I see the option CREATE AUTOSUGGEST DICTIONARY (in Home page) greyed out. I got a message that I should restart my laptop due to some changes applied but this function keeps not working.

Do you know what I should do? Should I uninstall the whole software and install it again?

Regarding the two licences working, I only have one... After having bought Studio 2015, did 2014 disappear? Does that mean that I lost my licences for that one?

Normally the license is automatically recognised.
However- Please open Studio-Welcome screen- HELP- License activation-
Deactivate the license please- wait for 20 minutes (just to ensure our servers have updated) then reactivate - AutoSuggest should now be available.
In regards to the older 2014 license, if you have not deactivated the license in Studio 2014 you will be able to continue using this until such time you need to reinstall or try to migrate the software which will mean the license is permanently gone as you have UPGRADED rather than purchase a NEW licence.
Please be aware that you can complete all projects in 2015 and really do no longer need 2014.
