I have just (finally) updated Studio 15 and Multiterm to SR2. I've restarted my computer. (I have Windows 10). I cannot open either program. The two error messages I get when trying to open the programs are:

1. "An unexpected error has occurred while loading the global plug-in services."

2. "Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture (or the neutral culture) on disk. baseName: Sdl.LCStudioIntegration.Common.plugin     locationinfo:<null>   filename:Sdl.LCStudioIntegration.Common.plugin.resources".

Can anyone tell me what to do, please? I have submitted a case to SDL. I cannot work!

Many thanks. Catherine

  • Hi Catherine,

Maybe you can try a reset and follow up with a repair.  Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12.0.0.0

Then run a repair installation by going to Programs & Features in your windows control panel, select SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR2 and then Repair:

See if this helps?  If it doesn't then please log a case and we can arrange for a support engineer to take a look at this for you. This can be achieved really quickly using this link:

    http://support.xl8.one

Just fill in the form and submit it. Make sure your email address is entered correctly or nobody will be able to get back in touch with you.

    Regards

    Paul
