When typing in the Editor View of SDL Trados Studio 2021, there is a noticeable lag or delay between the keystrokes and the characters appearing on the screen. This problem does not occur in any other application. My system has an AMD FX 6300 six-core x64-based 3.50 GHz processor, 16 GB RAM and 64-bit OS. Does anyone have suggestions for how to correct this problem?

Please check that you run the latest updates on Studio: Trados Studio 2021 SR1 - build 16.1.4.4184. You can check them in Help tab -top ribbon- >Check for updates.
Also, you might want to also check that Windows OS is updated, as well.

Unfortunately, none of this has helped. Are there any other suggestions?
I found an answer on Proz.com and tried it.
The suggestion was to set the CPU affinity to only one thread. For anyone else having this problem, here's what I did:
Open Task Manager
Under "Processes", right-click "Trados Studio" and select "Go to details"
Right-click "SDLTradosStudio.exe" and select "Set affinity"
I have a six-core CPU, and I unchecked "<All Processors>" and then checked "CPU 5" and clicked "OK"
So far it looks like this solved the problem.
