My first question would be why are you doing this?  You do not need to upgrade SDLTM translation memories from one version to the next.  There is a mis-named feature in Trados Studio called "Upgrade" but this is just preparing a TM  to be able to maximise its use for fragment matching etc.  It's not needed to be able to work from one version to the next.

What you have done here is export your SDLTM to a TMX and are then trying to find a way to upgrade the TMX back to an SDLTM again.  This is something you don't need to do as you started with an SDLTM in the first place.  The "Upgrade" feature you are trying to use is in the app you tried to download but that isn't a process you really need to go through.

I think this is probably because you have downloaded the wrong version of that app for your version of Trados Studio.  It makes sense for you to always take the app from the integrated appstore built into Trados Studio, and then you always get the right one:

Many thanks for your great help. It seems that I've done a big mess. 

So, there's no need to upgrade Trados Studio 2022 TMs to use them with Trados Studio 2024. They should work with Trados 2024 automatically without extra procedures.

The only thing you might have to do, although it's not mandatory, is to use the "Upgrade" within the product (not the app) so that you can extract the fragments for additional leverage while working.
