the possibility to rename server TMs and MultiTerm termbases has been around since the very beginning I believe. For TMs, log in to GroupShare in the browser and go to Resources -> TMs and simply click on a TM to edit its name.
For MultiTerm, go to Administrator in MT Desktop, log in as an admin and edit the termbase definition.
