Post-deployment issue "No response received from the server"

Dear community members,

Maybe some of you have encountered the following error message after installing and activating GroupShare 2017 SR1 on your windows server: 

"No response from server". We get this while trying to login into web-interface after a completed installation. The database server is running, IIS is serving the website, ports are open. What could be the problem? Error message dialog box with a red cross icon saying 'No response received from the server' with an OK button below.

 

OS: Windows Server 2012 R2

GS: GroupShare 2017 SR1

P.S:

Is there some log I can attach to help clarify the problem?
