Hi,
we ran "dry" GS 2017 installation on Azure Hyperscaler.
Setup:
- Separate App server and DB Server
- OS: WinDatacenter 2016 and SQL 2016 R2 latest
- Same vnet all ports are opened and communication is enabled within vnet by default
- VMs are not in domain
Error during installation (taken from installation log):
Inner Message: Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED))
Inner Source: mscorlib
Logs:
- Event Viewer and SQL logs on DB servers are clear, no errors/issues
- Event Viewer on App Server contains same error as above
Did you someone experience same error?
