Trados Studio 2022 - windows user issue

I am trying to connect from Trados Studio 2022 Professional (17.2.10.19084) to Groupshare server (Groupshare 2020 SR1 CU13) with Windows user so that this Windows user belongs to different Active Directory than Groupshare server. Services are running under service account that should be enabled for both ADs. But I get following error in Trados Studio:

SDL.ApiClientSDK.GS.UserManagementV2Client - Server returned unsuccessfull status code : Unauthorized, Message : StatusCode: 401, ReasonPhrase: 'Unauthorized', Version: 1.1, Content: <null>, Headers:

User might not have permission to perform the attempted request
Full response content: Response status code does not indicate success: 401 (Unauthorized).Content: StatusCode: 401, ReasonPhrase: 'Unauthorized', Version: 1.1, Content: <null>, Headers:

User "AD\uid" is configured in Groupshare console as a Windows user.

Is there necessary any other configuration?

Thank you.

  • Finally I did not marked answer as verified to close this question, because I found out that the problem is more complex. I'll try to describe.

When the user uses Windows login from Trados Studio 2022 to connect to the Groupshare 2020 SR1 server, login fails for the first time. It only works after that ANY (!) user  launches the Multiterm Desktop and connects to Groupshare server as a Windows user. In Trados Studio, we usually enter the user, including the AD domain, as a different user, with the password also entering explicitly.

What makes Windows user login in Multiterm Desktop so special that it works right away and enables for Trados Studio users to login to Groupshare server with Windows account? Both applications run from the same virtual server via Citrix Workspace.
