Google Translate v2 API suddenly dysfunc with Passolo 2011

Hi Community,

 

until recently, we successfully used Google Translate v2 API with the Auto Translation Add-on in Passolo 2011.

 

Since roughly a month, this functionality suddenfly seems to be dysfunc:

  • All 3 translation providers are grayed out, and the options cleared, including Google Translate v2
  • Manually editing AutoTranslation's settings.ini ("Permitted=Yes, Activated=Yes, NoThirdPartyPrompt=Yes) works, but only for a few API calls. Meaning: the whole mechanism still seems to actually work - we DO get translations in the editor window; But after a little while, Passolo seems to decide that it can't use the provider, and deactivates it.

 

Any gives?

Any ideas as to what we could try to make it work, again? We've already reinstalled Passolo 2011, without sucess.

Any ideas as to where we could look for a log or sth. similar to understand the nature of the issue?

    Hi Evzen, thanks for the reply :-)

    I've checked the API request and response using Fiddler - it looks just fine (no 400 or any other obvious issue). So I'm pretty sure the source of the issue is somewhere on the Passolo side.

    "if you are accordingly skilled" - well, that's probably the crux of the matter. So far, I wasn't able to find a single piece of output (log file or anything) from Passolo that helps me trace this thing down. So I'm lost and probably only have one option, and that is to upgrade.

    What I was (and am) still hoping for is someone maybe pointing me into the right direction concerning how to get Passolo to log whatever it's doing, and what's going wrong, into a log file or sth. like that ...
