This could have various reasons:

• Problems with the XML parsing rule
• Missing XML parsing rule
• XML file structure doesn’t  the XML parsing rule
• Etc.

Without the source file, the project file and the XML parsing rule, it won’t be possible to give useful answers. Please log a support case at https://gateway.sdl.com and provide files.

It´s a bit weird: I created a project to translate a XML file and got the same message, but my colleque, using the same Passolo version does not get this message - on her computer the project works fine. Is there something missing regarding my installation of Passolo?

As it works for a colleague, I would assume the XML parsing rule is not embedded into the project.
