Concatenate attributes and element to create ID

Hi all,

I'm working with a file that does not contain any ID's for the strings which is causing many problems during updates.

I was wondering if I could concatenate the source text + the filename to create an ID (see below).

I have tried using "concat" while creating a parser but I keep on getting errors no matter the xpath method I use.

Is there any way to do this?

Seems to be a Qt TS file that you are showing. The XML parsing rule for TS that is shipped with Passolo can be enhanced with IDs. Pre-requisite is that the developers are filling the ID field during development. This rule is also taking the content of the <name> element to group string entries. So just a small a portion of the string entries should cause issues. 
 In the end concatenating the content of several XML elements into one ID using XPATH doesn&rsquo;t work with the Passolo XML parser. 
 There is a 3 rd party Qt parser available in the AppStore https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/sdl-passolo-add-in-for-qt/308/ that is calculating unique IDs. That might also be a solution approach.
