In which comment field should the text be inserted? If the comment is to be inserted in the source string list, you can simply select several or all entries and then enter the comment in the Properties window. This will insert one comment for all the selected fields. So no macro necessary. 

I was not able to insert the comment. I have selected all new stings and I woudl like to add a comment. How do I do it?

First, I'm not sure if you are working with Rocio, or if you are from another company? Just for reference and whether the use case is exactly the same or slightly different. 

Where do you want to add multiple comments, in the source lists as a general comment for all translators in all target languages? Or are you working as a translator within the translation lists and want to insert just a language specific comment for multiple entries?

This is a different project. I am working as a translator and we have gotten the Passolo projects from the vendor. However, when they come with a new beta version we have updated the latest project with the current dll's. There are a lot of them (about 300) but most are not changed at all.
In the earlier projects new strings have been commented, like 2024, 2025. I have added filters like 2024 and 2024 not translated. This has made translation quicker as I can concentrate on the new strings that are not translated.
It seems that theses comments are only shown for the target language. Then again, the status "new" (with yellow star) is only shown when looking at the source file.

Now, I have updated the current project using the new beta dlls.
If I sort them by status and select a few new stings and right click on Properties, I cannot edit the Comment.

Coult it be that some macro is  needed "set commnet to 2026 for those with status new on the target"

It would be more helpful to see that, so I have to make a few assumptions. Again, no macro will be necessary. It seems that you have the project (=LPU file) and the new DLLs. After the project has been updated with the new DLLs, all the source text lists need to be opened. Now you can sort or filter the new entries. Then select all entries for which the new comment is to be entered.

Then it will look like this:

The last is now to again update all the translation lists which will propagate the source comments. Hope this helps.

How can you select the strings on the source window so that the same strings are selected in the target window?
Or is there a method for filtering only new strings so that they will be shown in that translation window?

I did add the comment to the source files but after updating it did not show in translation window.

As mentioned in my last sentence, you need to update the translations list to propagate the source string comments to the translation lists.

Yes, there are 2 + 1 comments in Passolo.

P: every comments that is read from the source file itself.
C: comments inserted by project managers into the source lists (see above)
T: language specific comments inserted by translators

I think I have giotten ahead. However, the comment is C:., This is also seen in the translation list.
How can you define the comments as T: for many stirings at the same time. Could it be possible to set a filter that would select all the new string in source and then add the comment
