Is there anyone who has successfully worked with embedded text in images using SDL 21? I have tried everything including installing the Iris app and SDL and enabling it. It just doesn't seem to convert the text embedded in images attached herewith.

My experience is that some text is properly correctly recognized by the OCR engine, some is so so, and some is not even extracted. It depends on image quality, background and font size. Is it the same for you or it doesn't work at all?
Just to know we are talking about the same thing: I guess you are trying to extract text in non-editable images inserted in PDF files, right?

Mine doesn't do it at all. I ended buying a separate OCR software which does a much better work than this one, IRIS, that is.
