Smart actions in the online editor -- where are they?

I am looking at this text in the documentation:

https://docs.rws.com/en-US/trados-studio-cloud-capabilities-812699/using-smart-actions-995155

Where do I find the options described, such as Add term and Insert Tag?

The text also states that "You can bring up the smart action menu at any time by selecting Ctrl + Comma." When I select Ctrl + Comma, nothing happens, regardless of where my cursor is placed.

  • Thanks, Paul! In fact, I had already discovered this -- I don't know/don't remember how it could be that CTRL+COMMA did not work when I tried it before. Actually, I don't even need to use that shortcut -- it's enough to just select one or several words and then move the cursor downward.

I think what started this question is that I first tried to "smart add" a new term, and that did not work. I now think it was because there probably was no termbase to add the term to!

So it seems that once again I have wasted your time unnecessarily. I am sorry for that. I wish I could say that it won't happen again.

Don't be... it's never wasted when we have the chance to show something many users won't have known was even possible!

I also fell foul of the termbase part... slightly different, I didn't have mine set to "update".  A novice error as it would be obvious in Studio, I'm just not used to looking for it in the cloud.  But good experience because I won't forget that again!
